A fresh IT environment for a 200-user drone data company
After demerging from its parent company, a drone data business needed independent IT. We delivered Microsoft 365, managed devices, a new network and access to over 800 TB of project data.

Before
- A demerger required independent IT with no reliance on the parent’s systems.
- 200 users needed email, files, sign-ins, devices and security policies quickly.
- Drone processing required high-spec desktops, large curved displays and fast storage.
- Over 800 TB of project data needed to be moved and accessible without expensive cloud egress.
After
- 200 users and machines migrated to a new Microsoft 365 environment.
- Entra ID and Microsoft Endpoint Manager for sign-ins and device management.
- Over 800 TB of Wasabi S3 storage accessed through Lucid Link.
- 10 Gbps internet, dual WatchGuard firewalls, Ubiquiti switching and eight wireless access points.
Build an independent workplace
We established the company’s own Microsoft 365 environment and domain, with Entra ID, sign-in access controls and multi-factor authentication for all users.
We procured 200 HP ZBook and EliteBook machines plus high-spec desktop workstations. The new office received clustered WatchGuard firewalls, Ubiquiti networking across two levels and 10 Gbps connectivity for the large datasets accessed through Lucid Link.
“We had to walk away from everything and start again. Within weeks we had a faster, more modern environment than we ever had before, and the drone team can now work with massive datasets from anywhere.”
