Moved Servers to Next DC Datacenters

A business running its core systems on two on-premise Hyper-V hosts, direct-attached storage, and a WatchGuard firewall needed a more resilient home for its infrastructure. We relocated the entire stack into Next DC Datacenters and connected it back to the office with dedicated dark fibre.

Key outcomes

  • Hyper-V hosts now in a resilient data centre2
  • shared office power or cooling dependencies0
  • dark fibre link between office and Next DC Datacenters1

Migrated 90 Servers to Cove Backup

A business was backing up 90 servers across three racks of on-premise data centre space using an ageing backup platform with expensive licensing and growing storage costs. We moved the entire estate to Cove Backup, shifting disaster recovery to the cloud and reclaiming physical footprint.

Key outcomes

  • saved per year in licence costs$40,000
  • data centre racks freed up3

Point-to-Point Wireless Link from Manager's Home to Office

A business manager needed reliable, high-speed access to office systems from home, but the NBN connection at his house was too slow and unstable for video calls, file sharing and cloud apps. We installed a dedicated point-to-point wireless bridge from the office roof to his home, bypassing the slow NBN entirely.

Key outcomes

  • Wireless link speed1Gbps
  • End-to-end latency<5ms
  • Link uptime99.9%

Attackers Caught Minutes After Guardz 24/7/365 MDR Deployment

A business suspected something was wrong on its network and in Office 365 but had no visibility into active threats. We deployed Guardz 24/7/365 MDR across servers and workstations and enabled Office 365 MDR for mailbox and identity monitoring. Within minutes the 24/7/365 Security Operations Center identified active attackers, isolated compromised endpoints and revoked malicious Office 365 sessions before data could be exfiltrated.

Key outcomes

  • Time to detection<15 min

Hyper-V and Synology Cluster Replicated Across Two NEXTDC Datacentres

A client holding close to 900 TB of business-critical data needed enterprise resilience without losing control of their own infrastructure. We designed and built a two-site private cloud: Hyper-V compute clusters and Synology storage clusters in two NEXTDC datacentres, replicated for automatic failover, wired together with dark fibre to the client's office, and backed up over an express route to Wasabi using Veeam Backup & Replication. The office runs on Vocus 2 Gbps / 2 Gbps symmetrical fibre internet, sized for the traffic a two-site private cloud generates.

Key outcomes

  • of client data protected across two datacentres900TB
  • NEXTDC datacentres with automatic failover2
  • Hyper-V hosts and Synology appliances per site4+4
